Sweeping in a holiday paradise – the Schmidt Swingo 200+ on Bali

The Indonesian island of Bali is considered a holiday paradise and attracts over 4 million tourists every year. Tropical temperatures all year round, white beaches and azure water – what a great working place for a Schmidt Swingo 200+.

On a roadshow of PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera at the end of May, the compact sweeper was presented to customers on the island, including councils of Jembrana, Tabanan, Badung, Denpasar & Buleleng and Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). They are responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the infrastructure on behalf of the environmental authority. The ITDC manages, among other things, the region around Nusa Dua, with many exclusive hotels and beach resorts. The cleanliness on public facilities must be guaranteed there at all times. For the live demos, the Swingo 200+ was tested under the harshest conditions: in the midst of traffic on busy streets and busy squares. The “Exot” from the Black Forest convinced them all. The cleaning performance of the 2.0 m³ sweeping machine exceeded the strict requirements of the municipalities. The drivers were also impressed with comfort and handling. The high suction performance of more than 8,600 m3/h enables the Swingo 200+ to sweep at high operating speeds and to collect large amounts of dirt without any problems. Front-axle steering or all-wheel steering, permitting turning manoeuvres in extremely confined space e.g. in parks or parking garages. The standard and powerful air conditioning system also creates a pleasant and cool working environment, even when outside temperatures are high like in Bali. A spacious driver’s cab with a pleasant indoor climate and full-size passenger’s seat with individual adjustment options characterize the Swingo 200+ as well as a cruise control and a new height- and tilt-adjustable steering column. That means: paradise conditions – for man and machine on Bali…
