“Good luck” (the German miners’ greeting) echoes through the halls of the Schönfeld Road Maintenance Depot in the Ore Mountains early in the morning. The thermometer reads -21 °C as the first few sun rays appear above Saxony’s highest mountain, the Fichtelberg. About 30 staff members at the Schönfeld Road Maintenance Depot take care of the roads – in both summer and winter. As soon as the first snow falls, things get particularly turbulent for the road surveyors. Then it’s time to harness the ploughs and load de-icing salt.
On a blustery winter day in 1926, Edward B. Meyer took on mother nature by putting a wooden moldboard on the
front of a Buick to clear his driveway, giving birth to the Meyer Auto Snow Plow Company – which is part of the ASH Group since September 2015.

Any chain is only as strong as its weakest link. This is also true of a chain where it is particularly important for individual links to join together perfectly: the logistics chain. Logistics dictates the pace of any production operation. If it falters, it is only a matter of time before everything comes to a standstill.
A fully functioning logistics (chain) is therefore not just an important part of our production processes in our factories. It must also guarantee that our customers can be supplied with original spare parts across the full life cycle of the equipment and machinery. All year round and all over the world.
Winter maintenance vehicles with Schmidt Stratos and ML51/CPS snow ploughs ensure safety on highways in State of Schleswig-Holstein
The giant slalom in Adelboden at „Chuenisbärgli“ is known as one of the most difficult in the world. The challenging downhill slope with a maximum inclination of 60% is quite an affair and especially the steep finishing slope demands a lot from the athletes. While for the winter sportsmen a few seconds determine victory or defeat, the World cup requires months of preparation for the team of the racing director Hans Pieren. Especially in the last few days before the race every helping hand – or machine – counts. Aebi supports the organisation committee with an Aebi TT280 with crawler track and overhead winch, as well as an Aebi VT450 Vario Transporter. Following the principle: ‘world leading technology for world class athletes’.

Friday morning at 6.30 am and -15° Celsius, the sun is still hiding deeply below the Kärntner alps. Otto de Boer pulls his scarf closer around his neck and a puts on his headlight. Beside him another 1500 early risers who gathered in the charming little place Weissensee in Austria are looking forward to the starting signal – the starting signal for an unusual but by now traditional spectacle: the “Alternative Dutch 11-Cities-Tour“. The scenery ist he biggest natural ice surface in all of Europe: The Weissensee.
