After a strenuous but successful World Cup weekend at Lauberhorn a few weeks ago, at which an Aebi TT280 and an Aebi EC170 were also deployed, race director Robert Lehmann now takes stock in an interview.
Just as the weekend before at the World Cup in Adelboden, the organizational committee in Wengen is counting on the support of the well-established tracked vehicles of Aebi. The Aebi TT280 with crawler tracks and overhead winch is on site together with the Aebi TT211 with crawler tracks and snow blower as well as the new Aebi EC170 with snow blower.
Following the successful deployment of the Aebi TT280, the organisers of the FIS Ski World Cup in Adelboden once again decided in 2017 to rely on “red” support from Aebi in preparing the slopes for the forthcoming race weekend. This was very much based on the motto of world-leading technology for world-class athletes. The preparations are well underway many weeks before the event. This year, as well as the TT280, which is specifically adapted for use on ski slopes and boasts a crawler track and overhead winch, an Aebi TT211 with a crawler track and snow cutter and the new Aebi EC170 with a snow cutter will also be used.
Soccer is an all-season sport, even in the cold season the teams are playing. But as the winter sportsmen in the mountains are looking forward to snowfall, this is problematic for athletes on the green soccer field. Until now…
Special occasions deserve a special atmosphere. Where could the pioneer among the steep slope implement carriers, the Aebi Terratrac, celebrate its 40th anniversary better than on the historical area if “Rütli”, in the canton of Uri in Switzerland. Numerous invited guests, among them Peter Spuhler, majority shareholder of the ASH Group, followed the invitation of Aebi on 8th of November to celebrate the historic and also new Aebi Terratrac at the founding place of the old Swiss Confederation.
A swiss magazine, “Schweizer Bauer” was testing our new Aebi EC170. The editor was thrilled after the test drive. See the video he made for yourself. Another video from our colleagues from Aebi Schmidt Switzerland:
If you always do what you already can do, you will always remain what you already are. As a pioneer of the implement carrier for use on sloping terrain, Aebi is therefore embarking on a new era with the EC170 and EC130 and is expanding the product range of CC, TT, TP and MT to include an agile, environmentally friendly, multi-talented machine which has powerful electric disc motors and can operate on the toughest terrain. The Aebi EC is a manned implement carrier (EC170) or unmanned implement carrier (EC130), with spring-loaded crawler tracks, 1,000 Nm of torque and a lifting force of 200 kg, which can be used on both slopes and flat surfaces.
